Jules Skloot is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher raised in Wisconsin and now working and living in Cummington, MA, and New York, NY. Jules has performed with Taylor Mac and Matt Ray, Jennifer Miller's Circus Amok, Tatyana Tenenbaum, devynn emory/beastproductions, Hadar Ahuvia, and was a founding collaborator and choreographer of The Ballez. Jules has also performed in the work of Emily Johnson/Catalyst, 600 Highwaymen, Kim Brandt, Laurie Berg and Bessie McDonough-Thayer. Jules’ own performance works are research into projection, queer embodiment, and connection, and have been presented in NY at Dixon Place, BAX, the University Settlement, BkSD, through AUNTS chain curations, and in MA at the School for Contemporary Dance and Thought (SDCT). Jules teaches dance classes and workshops to people of all ages, health classes to kids, and is committed to increasing joy and collective liberation in all these endeavors.
